General Warranty

GENERAL WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

Subject to the exclusions, limitations, disclaimers, and restrictions on remedies and liability outlined in this warranty, Häfele (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“HÄFELE”) warrants to the original purchaser that each Häfele product is free from mechanical and manufacturing defects, including parts and labor, for the stipulated warranty period from the date of purchase.

 

The warranty period will expire automatically, regardless of whether the product has been fully used or installed during that period.

 

Although HÄFELE’s internal quality standards ensure protection against unacceptable quality, minor imperfections or surface blemishes may still be present and considered the highest quality attainable. All final quality assessments remain solely at Häfele’s discretion.

 

HÄFELE reserves the right to modify the warranty terms and conditions without prior notice.

 

GENERAL EXCLUSIONS

  • If any HÄFELE product has a defect due to
  • The use of paints, solvents, chemicals, or harsh/abrasive cleaners.
  • Exposure to aggressive environmental factors or chemical dust, such as construction dust, high salt air, or limescale.
  • Damage resulting from testing, adjustments, modifications, or improper installation/assembly contrary to written installation instructions.
  • Failure to follow operating instructions, poor or incorrect maintenance, lack of proper care, misuse, abuse, willful or negligent damage, unreasonable or excessive use, or trial operation of the product.
  • Damage caused by excessive or negative gas/water pressure, under- or over-voltage, or defects resulting from neglect, accidents, misuse, abuse, rental use, or usage outside normal or customary conditions.
  • Scratches or surface damage on the product for any reason.
  • Defects or damage incurred during transportation or improper storage conditions, outside of HÄFELE’s responsibility.
  • The warranty does not cover any HÄFELE product that has been modified with third-party components not sold or manufactured by HÄFELE or used in combination with third-party components.
  • The limited warranty does not extend to fragile items or parts subject to wear and tear, such as glass, cosmetic parts, or consumable items (e.g., LED light, batteries, oil filters, cartridges, aerators, hoses, etc.).

 

WARRANTY CLAIMS

Any product believed to be defective must be reported to the authorized trade partner or reseller where it was originally purchased. Products covered by this warranty may not be returned without prior written authorization from HÄFELE or an authorized HÄFELE dealer or retailer. HÄFELE will not reimburse any costs associated with returning the goods.

 

The limited warranty is non-transferable. All claims must be made within thirty (30) days of discovering the alleged defect(s). Each claim must be accompanied by proof of purchase and submitted within the warranty period.

 

The warrantee must provide any additional information or evidence reasonably required by HÄFELE and, if requested, must allow an inspection of the product by HÄFELE or its representatives. If, after investigation, HÄFELE determines that the claim is valid, the remedy will be carried out by or on behalf of HÄFELE in accordance with the conditions outlined in this warranty.

 

REMEDIES

If a claim is made under this warranty and, after investigation by HÄFELE, is found to be valid, HÄFELE, at its sole discretion, will either repair or replace the defective product. Replaced parts become the property of HÄFELE. If the defective product is no longer manufactured or available at the time of the warranty claim, HÄFELE may, at its discretion, provide a product of similar value, an equivalent model or color, or refund the price of the defective portion of the goods.

 

In the event of repair or replacement, the original remaining warranty period will continue to apply to the repaired or replaced HÄFELE product and will not initiate a new warranty period. The WARRANTY PERIOD for spare parts fitted will expire along with the original warranty period of the appliance as a whole. Additionally, any time spent on repairs or replacements under this warranty will not be excluded from the WARRANTY PERIOD. Therefore, the warranty period will end based on the original invoice date, with no additional extension or renewal.

 

HÄFELE shall not be liable for labor or other costs related to the installation, repair, or replacement of a HÄFELE product, nor for any loss or damage to materials not sold by HÄFELE or its authorized dealers.

 

Service availability outside of Malaysia may be limited. Please check with your retailer or HÄFELE sales representative for further details.

 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITIES

Except as expressly provided in this WARRANTY:

(a) HÄFELE makes no warranties and disclaims all warranties, representations, and guarantees (whether express, implied, or statutory), including, but not limited to, any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

(b) HÄFELE shall not, under any circumstances, be liable for any consequential or incidental damages, whether arising from tort, breach of contract, or any other legal basis, to the extent that such disclaimers are permitted by law.
